Yay....Karen is in town and we got to have our first run together. As much as I wanted to run and talk I knew I would get tooooo winded toooooo soon. So we ran as if we were by ourselves and listened to music. It was just great knowing we were running together. After all, she is the one that got me into this!
This run felt good. I was not nearly as winded in the end and felt good. I think the cooler temperatures had a lot to do with it but the more even pace was a bigger part. I have to remind myself this is not about time but ENDURANCE and this certainly helped me today.
I went for a walk 2.6 mile walk this morning with Karen A. and that certainly helps warms the legs up too. But not sure if that had anything to do with it since we ran in the mid-afternoon.
Looking forward to seeing how we pace ourselves Saturday at the Race for the Cure run. We both have a tendency to start too fast and not get our breathing regulated. I guess I have Lesson #8: Remind myself to go slow and steady! Fast and furious is for competitive runners we are casual...we can do this at 50 runners ...Thanks Karen for that lesson!
Fun, Fun, Fun...is the wrap up of the day...wait did I just say it was fun?!?!?!?!?!
