Well, I thought I had it figured out about how if I walked or waited until later in the day my legs wouldn't seem so heavy...not the case this week. I was not able to run until after work today, 3:30, so I figured my legs would be o.k., not the case, they still seemed heavy my first mile, but got better as the run progressed.
Angie H. ran with me today...she rocked it out! Her first run in years and she nailed it today. Though she is an avid 4 mile walker, she wasn't used to running and kept up the running pace. Not sure how that makes me feel after 10 weeks of "training", but then again, I was basically starting from nowhere.
I made my run a priority so I wouldn't miss it. I knew I had a lot to do and if I put it off I would not get it done. I am proud of myself for doing that. So often I put off what I want/need to do and put others needs ahead of mine. I think that is progress...especially when it come to running...I have to remember, no excuses!
Overall, good day running. Who knew I would be writing this 10 weeks ago! Progress.
OH...and when I got back from my run, Karen had texted me saying she had one of her best 3.1 mile runs. Yay!!!!!
