Yesterday I was not able to get my run in in the morning. So I headed out in the afternoon with Brad to run, we got .6 miles into the run then the rain started (which is o.k.) but .61 miles there was thunder (which is not o.k.). Short run but a fast one! My schedule was a little out of sorts on Friday with errands and family coming in. That's o.k. family is more important...but no excuses not to get it in this weekend. MUST NOT SKIP a day.

Today, I made sure I got my run in early so I wouldn't make any excuses not to get it in. It was a good run. Went past Mom and Dad's house to Joe cheering me on. :-) I decided to tweak my first mile to try to get in a full 3 miles by my cool down spot. My first mile ended at Dianna's house where I ran up to see my first glance of precious Olivia! Into my 2nd mile I was thinking of taking baby steps but decided that if I got through 2 miles without baby steps I would be selfish and hold Olivia before others, but if I took baby steps I had to let someone else hold her before me. NO baby steps, so I am going to be selfish. Also, this scheming in my head help pass the time a little faster.

Mile 3 came and I thought my new route was going to work out. While going through the park there are a few spots with some inclines so instead of taking baby steps up them I took larger stronger strides to get them "over with". End of mile 3 came before my cool down spot so I continued to run to the corner. 3.25 miles! Cool down time.

During my first 2 miles when the Map my Run app was telling me my times I was distracted by other walkers or runners so I never heard my times. It ended up being one of my best runs yet. Woo-Hoo!

According to my training schedule I was only supposed to do a 2 mile run today, but I am glad I went further.

Also, Week #4 is history!
