My whole body aches today after my run...not sure why. It will be a good excuse to take it easy the rest of the day. :-)
I met up with Kelly today for a 10:00 run. I knew I wanted to go between 8-10 miles today. Kelly was up for 5 so we did our 5 mile loop together. 2 1/2 minute run 1 minute walk. That was a great way to start today. My legs were felling heavy for the first couple miles so it was nice to give them a break. Also nice pace to catch up on thing with Kelly...we hadn't run together for almost a month now.
After the 5 mile loop I was going to go on the 3 mile loop with 4 minute run and 2 minute walk intervals. I decided to weave in and out of the neighborhood streets to add a little more distance. I am happy with the distance but boy I am feeling it! I also ran a little more towards the end...honestly just to get it over. A slow and steady pace running and shorter walk intervals. I think my overall time was 1 hour :55 minutes.
During the run today I was questioning my ability to run a 12K next weekend. We shall see...I seem to get a little more energy when running in a race. I have to remember...I did a 10K so a 12K isn't that much further.
I hope the weather is as nice next weekend and it was today...mid to upper 40's and sunny.
I
