Oh what a difference a few weeks make. When I was leaving for my run today I told Joe I won't be real long we are only going 5 miles! Then I caught myself and laughed. Then at the end of our loop today Kelly had said the same thing to her dad.

The weather was 45 degrees when I left but knew I shouldn't bundle up...long running pants and long sleeves were fine...I did have gloves to start and a headband. I had to take my gloves off after 3 miles. My headband stayed on but I was feeling the heat. Kelly read that we should dress in cooler weather for 20 degrees warmers than it is. Good to know.

We did the 5 mile loop the way we did it our first time and I had forgotten the hills were a little steeper at the end of the run this way. We increased our running intervals to 2.5 minutes and walk 1 minute and still kept up a great pace and felt good at the end. The first mile we did a warm up walk of 5 minutes and then got started...every mile from there was under 12 minutes.

We also noticed that we are able to talk more during our runs...something we could not do the first week we started this. I remember reading that you should be able to hold a normal conversation when you run and thought to myself...no that will not be me... But today it was.

I was curious how we compared the loop with the first time we had done...Looks like we have increased our time and definitely our endurance....1 mi12:22 min/mi00:12:222 mi12:22 min/mi00:12:193 mi12:37 min/mi00:12:314 mi12:31 min/mi00:12:245 mi15:36 min/mi00:15:285.2 mi14:53 min/mi00:03:07
