Technically, according to my training schedule from runDisney...my official Princess 1/2 marathon training was to begin this week. I think that is for casual runners up until this point. I was a non-existent runner when I began this journey.

I didn't have a chance to blog yesterday after my run...so I am a day late on this.

Post my 8 mile run...my legs were still a little sore. I ran 8 miles Saturday, walked 3-miles on Sunday and 2-miles Monday. I think the walking helped the legs. Not bad but I could feel them a little. Looking ahead at this weekend I see that my schedule for long runs is off a little bit. On a weekend I was to do 8 miles I did a 4-mile run and last weekend I was supposed to do 3-miles with a Magic mile and I did 8-miles. From here on out it looks like I am to do a long run one weekend and a 3-mile w/ Magic mile on the next.

The next few weekends may get me back on track eventually with a 10K and then with travel. Maybe I will do a few 5 mile weekends and then when I get back in November pick up the training schedule. I am ahead of the training schedule for the 1/2 marathon. I started the training in July and technically this schedule didn't start until yesterday (9/30). I am glad I started my training when I did...especially since I was on the couch before any of this started. Otherwise I would have been even more scared to do this run.

I ran with Angie H. and she amazes me how she is just running and can run 3-miles with me. I just have to remind myself she is an avid walker and that is a jump start to the running and endurance.

I started sewing my costume for the February run.. I am NOT a seamstress so if this doesn't work I still have time to find a Belle running costume. We will see if it works. I need to look for yellow running shorts and a yellow running top. That will give me a few months to continue looking. :-)
